Carrick on Suir welcomes you!
Welcome to the historic town of Carrick on Suir and your Irish Holiday House at 2 Hotel Lane, a townhouse situated just metres from the bustling Main Street.
No matter who you are or where you’ve come from you’ll be warmly welcomed by the people of Carrick.
You’ll be greeted by the locals with a hearty “Well”, which is the Carrick way of saying “hello” or “g’day”
The town dates back to the 14th century and is rich in history and tradition. It boasts the only Elizabethan Manor house in Ireland and there is a rich tale associated with this castle involving the famous “Virgin Queen” Elizabeth the First and a man named “Black Tom” Butler. The town is also very proud of another famous son in Sean Kelly, one of the most successful professional cyclists of the 80s.
